God Cares for You

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” I Peter 5:7

Sometimes it would do us good to just sit and think about how much God cares for us. There are so many times in our lives when we truly underestimate just how much God really cares about His children. God cares more for us than we can even begin to imagine or think. God cares so much for us that He even knows how many hairs are on our head. We can’t even guess how many hairs are on our head, yet God knows exactly how many each person has. If He cares enough about us to know how many hairs are on our head, don’t you think that means He really cares about us?

We are His children, and there is nothing that is going to happen to us that He does not know about. There has been nothing that has taken God by surprise.  Yes, it has taken us by surprise, but never God. You see, He knows the end from the beginning, and He knows all about our lives. Does that mean we understand everything that happens to us? No, it doesn’t, but it does mean that we have a Heavenly Father watching over us and caring for us.  

He cares about every burden that we carry. That’s why He tells us to cast our cares upon Him. If He didn’t care about our burdens, He would not have told us to cast them upon Him. He wants to lighten our load and help us carry the burdens that we are bearing. That is why He also has given us friends, so that we can share our burdens with them as well. They can help us carry those burdens and help us pray about them.  

He also cares about the trials that we face. Yes, there are trials when He is quiet in our lives, but sometimes He is quiet to see how much we have learned from our previous trials. He’s waiting to see how much we rely upon Him for help when we need it. Our trials are not to punish us or to make us weak, but we face them to make us stronger in the end.  

He cares about the storms in our lives as well. God sees the storm from the other side. We can only see rain, thunder, lightning, wind, and a sea tossed too and fro. God sees the calm on the other side. He wants us to have faith in Him that we will make it through the storm to the other side when we can look back at the storm and say, “Thank you, God, for that storm.” We may not be able to see Him in our storm, but He is there with us, and the moment we call upon Him in prayer and help, He will come into our ship with us and help us.  Sometimes He calms the storm, and other storms He calms us in the storm.

He also cares about our temptation too. It is not a sin to be tempted; it is a sin when we yield to the temptation. But with every temptation that we face, God has made a way of escape. If that is not God caring about our temptation, then I don’t know what is. If we want to know a way out of the temptation, all we need to do is read our Bibles, pray, and ask God to show us the way out.  He will show us the way out if we really desire it.  

God doesn’t just care about us and all that we go through. He also sympathizes with us. He knows exactly what we face on a day-to-day basis, and He knows exactly how to help us. Which shows and proves just how much God cares for us. According to the Bible, He is touched with the feelings of our infirmities. He was tempted just like we are tempted today. He knows how to succor us in our time of need. Sometimes, we just need a hug from God, and He will give us that hug. When we are hurt, He knows exactly how to bandage the wound and heal us.

God doesn’t just care about the big things in our lives, but He also cares about the small things as well. Nothing is too small for God to care about. He cares about every minute detail, but also every big circumstance as well. Nothing is too big or too small for God.  

What a heavenly Father we have today. He takes such great care of me. The Bible says that He will never leave us nor forsake us. He’s always there, and He always cares. Even when we feel like God doesn't care or God doesn’t see, He does. That is when faith comes in. It’s just simply believing that He is there and knowing He is there whether we can feel Him or not.

Does Jesus care? “Oh yes, He cares; I know He cares; His heart is touched with my grief; when the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares!”
